Make your way to La Passe harbor where you’ll find plenty of anchorages. From here hire a bike or take to foot to explore this islands hidden treasures. First stop is Anse L’Union on the west coast. Designated a national monument this colossal granite boulder covers over half a hectare of land. Sculpted over the years, by the forces of nature, this spectacular rock attracts plenty of visitors to the island as they stand back to admire its gigantic statue. Moving on, L’Union Estate Park is a large colonial plantation and home to one of the few working copra mills left in the Seychelles. You’ll also find some curious giant tortoises roaming here too.

A walk through Veuve Reserve takes you deep into the ecosystem of the island, where bird lovers will delight in spotting rare species such as the Black Paradise Flycatcher. Stop at the nearby Lanbousir for some lunch before heading off to the infamous Anse Source d'Argent beach, for some serious relaxation. Here the silver white sands, exotic palms and rocky seascape scenery are picture-postcard perfect and it’s arguably one of the best beaches in the whole of the Seychelles.

Heading back towards the harbor, those in search of a piece of island life to take home with them will find some eclectic shops and nice array of galleries to choose from. Pick up a fresh fish supper from the bustling fish market on the quay, where the local fishermen sell their catches of the day. It’s then back on board for a cocktail or two as you watch the last warm rays of the Seychelles sun dip down over the horizon.
