Rodney Bay St. Lucia

Rodney Bay, located on the northern tip of St. Lucia, was once a Royal Navy base and is now a busy yachting center catering to charterers and sport-fishermen who return year after year. It is home to a number of luxurious resorts and all the amenities that you would expect to accompany a well-developed tourist industry.

There are spas, art galleries, smart shops and a terrific range of restaurants, covering a full range of eating experiences from jerk chicken to fine dining. Rodney Bay is the finishing line for the challenging annual Atlantic Rally for Cruisers Race which starts in the Canary Islands and ends 2700 nautical miles later in St. Lucia. The Pigeon Island National Park is nearby and incorporates the world famous Jacques Cousteau Underwater Park, with an incredible array of corals, octopi, tropical fish, neon tube sponges and sea fans. It is rated as one of the top ten dive sites in the world. A visit to Pigeon Island is a real highlight of any Rodney Bay St. Lucia yacht charter.

Quiet beaches are perfect for swimming while the rougher ones on the Atlantic coast have some good surf.  Nearby Pigeon Island offers fine hiking trails leading to spectacular views with plenty of mongoose, lizards, tropical birds and trees to admire on the way up.
