Sainte Anne is a busy town that manages to provide good facilities for visiting sailors whilst retaining its authenticity. There’s a seaside promenade on the west side of town, a lively market and a terrific white-sand beach shaded by sea-grape trees that stretch along the east side of the town and is popular with islanders as well as visitors.
Another fine beach stretches along the eastern side of the Caravelle Peninsula. The beach at Sainte-Anne has watersports facilities and is dotted with simple restaurants that place their tables in the sand and prepare tasty seafood on their barbecues. Next to the market, L’Americano has a good casual vibe and serves fine pizzas and crepes.
Those in need of a little retail therapy on their Sainte-Anne boat charter will enjoy the souvenir shopping at Village Artisanal where you can pick up hammocks and sculptures as well as the usual run of smaller trinkets. Nearby Geograines specialises in artefacts and art pieces made out of seeds by local artists.
