Colonna’s Italian style red roofed buildings, white walkways and tropical gardens, make an attractive backdrop for the pool, beaches and bay, and the majority of rooms and some villas enjoy spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea or over the Club pool.

Enjoy the tropical scenery from either of the two small private sandy beaches at Club Colonna – perfect for sunbathing and watching the late afternoon volleyball games.

Inside the Club the newly refurbished accommodation, walkways and reception provide very comfortable surroundings away from the sunshine, with new additions including the new Internet cafe in the Sugar Mill bar and the Java JoJo's coffee shop in the reception area.

The open-air beach restaurant is a focal point of the Club and provides a fantastic place to dine. With the soothing sound of the Caribbean sea and the warm breeze carried by the waves, it makes for the perfect place to round off the day. And with an extended deck area, this is also a great place to enjoy all day long thirst quenchers and evening cocktails.

Fitness fans are spoilt for choice. In the brand new fitness room you will be able to enjoy a fully air conditioned area equipped with free weights, cardiovascular and resistance machines. Follow a workout with a pampering session at Colonna’s newly refurbished The Spa health and beauty sanctuary. The Club’s four new treatment rooms cater for every mood - each has a different theme, including Far Eastern, Moroccan, Modern or (staying local!) Caribbean. With lots of treatments to choose from, together with a hair salon, sauna and steam rooms and relaxation area will satisfy the most devoted health and beauty connoisseurs.

Club Colonna also offers a Chinese deep tissue massage specialist who also performs acupuncture and reflexology, and Reiki is also available as part of the holistic treatment program.

A long time favorite with sailors, this is the island where the rum punch flows and the ‘jump up’ parties are non-stop, especially during Antigua Race Week, one of the main events in the world sailing calendar.

For the ultimate Caribbean experience visit Shirley Heights on a Sunday evening. From the Club, you can arrange transport to and from this party night at English Harbour, where a twenty piece local steel drum band and a reggae band play between 4pm and 10pm on top of the hill with spectacular views of the sunset over the harbour and beyond. This is the perfect place for all the family to enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere, complete with friendly locals and barbecue food.

Another great place to get a real feel for Antiguan life is the island’s capital, St. Johns. A maze of duty-free shops and busy streets, the center is lined with colorful market stalls selling everything from clothes, to arts and crafts, food, fish and flowers. The Antigua Recreation Ground in St. Johns is home to many world-class cricket tournaments and there are also some very good restaurants where you can enjoy local specialties and tasty Caribbean cuisine.

Renting a jeep is a great way to explore Antigua. Drive to one of its 365 beautiful beaches and spend the day feeling like you are on your own desert island. Further afield, perhaps enjoy a day’s game fishing for tuna or marlin on a chartered sports boat or a day trip to the islands of Barbuda or Guadeloupe along with helicopter rides to Montserrat.
