Sunsail Clubs are great for families. Children of all ages have a great time with Sunsail in our free* all day award-winning Kids’ Clubs, where babies, toddlers, juniors and teens have plenty to keep them amused.

We want your children to learn new and exciting things on vacation and, above all, have an experience of a lifetime with Sunsail Clubs. Our excellent childcare facilities mean that if you wish, your kids are entertained all day by professional and caring nannies and activity instructors, who fill every spare moment with fun activities on the water and ashore, from sailing on our equipment especially designed for kids to face painting or simply quiet play in the sunshine. The great thing about our Kids’ Clubs is that they are extremely flexible, and by no means is your child committed to coming every day, enabling your family to spend quality time together too, from playing on the beach to getting out on the water together.

We take safety seriously in all aspects of our holidays and ensure that all our Clubs are located in safe environments away from public roads, our childcare staff are fully qualified and all our equipment and facilities are of the highest standard.

All children from the age of 5 years will have the opportunity to take part in our new free kids sailing program. Whether they have never been on a boat before or are expert sailors already, we want to get every child on the water having fun in a safe and controlled environment.

Dependent on ability, all children will join either the beginners or intermediates groups where qualified RYA dinghy instructors will follow a structured program following the RYA ratios.

The children will be learning about personal safety, parts of the boat, tacking, knots, capsize drill, sailing a figure of eight course. Intermediates will cover aspects like gybing, sailing a triangular course and rigging their own boats.

Sessions will be closely monitored by the instructors, ensuring that every child gets the most out of their time on the water. A log book will also be issued to each child for them to fill out with their Activity Assistants so that they can keep track of all they have learned on their vacation.

This program is free and runs at every Club as part of the kids’ club daily activities (this sailing program  is aimed at 5 – 17 year olds), providing a minimum of an hour a day on the water with our professional instructors.

Our specially designed equipment for children is very popular and gives the younger ones the chance to have fun and learn in a fantastic environment.

The Topper Taz has proved a great success with kids. Modern, fast and more fun than any other children’s boat available, with a high boom and plenty of buoyancy, Mom or Dad can come along as well, if they wish!

Our windsurfing equipment includes Starboard Starts and Kiddy boards using Tushingham Dino rigs. These carbon masts and fully battened sails with miniature booms give children a scaled down adult rig.
