Venture down to the beach at any Sunsail Club and you will be greeted by the unique Sunsail blend of the best equipment and instruction from specially trained Sunsail instructors qualified to Royal Yachting Association standards. With great dinghy sailing conditions and instruction at all our Clubs we have made this sport accessible to everyone, offering a variety of RYA courses for learning or improving, and free sailing clinics which you can join and just have a go. Beginners can get a taste for the sport in a Topaz or Pico dinghy, designed for learning the basics before progressing to a faster Laser. For the more advanced, test the best of our fleet on a high performance boat like the RS 800 or the International 29er, or blast the waves on the popular Hobie 15 catamaran. And whatever your sailing ability, beach staff will rig and de-rig your boats to give you maximum time on the water and are always on hand for on the spot advice whenever you need it.
Our free sailing clinics are held throughout the week as group sessions and starter clinics are held twice a week. They cover the basics of learning to sail with a variety of other sailing techniques for improving and advanced sailing, including asymmetrics, catamaran sailing, trapezing and single- handed sailing.
Each Club also hosts a number of friendly ‘end of week’ races for those who thrive on a bit of healthy competition to show off some sailing skills!
If you get the bug for it, spend the week sharpening your sailing skills with some professional RYA training and return home a more accomplished sailor – we offer official courses for all levels from helping complete beginners to master the basic skills through to catamaran sailing.

Your Safety
While our vacations are all about having fun, we take your safety very seriously. Nothing has higher priority and no boat goes out on the water without safety cover. Our sailing areas are patroled at all times. At every Club we provide:
- Lifejackets or buoyancy aids for everyone over 2 years old
- Fully equipped high-speed safety boats to look after everyone on the water and provide help when needed
- Safety boats with VHF radios, driven by qualified staff
