At no extra charge in the Med!
If you have yacht sailing experience and want to see more of your Club’s sailing area, you can explore the nearby islands, villages, beaches and bays and enjoy the freedom and luxury of sailing your own yacht – at no extra charge (all clubs apart from Club Colonna, Antigua).
Our team will be able to advise you on the best local anchorages, beauty hotspots and routes ideal for a day’s sail, allowing you to set off and discover your sailing area and completely escape from civilization for the day if you wish!
You can also take part in organized activities and get out and sail with other yacht enthusiasts. On the weekly activities program at our Clubs you will find events including a Mini Flotilla Day which visits popular local places of interest with a stop off for lunch and a Yacht Regatta Day, perfect for testing your racing skills, not to mention drum up a bit of healthy competition with your new friends!
Day yacht sailing novices need not miss out…
If you are new to day yacht sailing, you will soon get to know if there are other guests who are looking for some ready and willing crew to accompany them out on a day’s sail! Alternatively, all our Clubs offer a 3 day flotilla training course where you can learn the basics of sailing a cruising yacht. Each course is tailored to the individual and includes work on sail handling, mooring up, basic rope work and on shore theory. Your instructor will also get you out on the water to practice your skills and see the local cruising area. You may even be inspired to make your next Sunsail vacation a Sunsail Flotilla one!
Yacht sailing in the Caribbean
You can take a day yacht out from our Antiguan charter base at English Harbour near Club Colonna for an extra charge (booked locally). With azure water, desert island beaches to discover and some fantastic snorkeling opportunities, you will see the best of the Caribbean above and below the water.
Please note: The day yachts at our Clubs are also used for the 3 day flotilla courses. There may be two or three yachts at a Club being used for courses at any one time.
