A perfect balance between activity and relaxation.

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

Easy sailing, all the hard work done by the friendly, knowledgable staff leaving us free to enjoy the excellent kit and facilities. Most importantly, although there was plenty on offer at no point did we fell any pressure at all to join in - gentle encouragement but no co-ersion.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Although we are dingy sailors it was excellent being able to sail away on a yacht for the day with the security of being in a flotilla.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Go to the little restaurant up the hill. There's no menu, you eat what you are given washed down by a vat of local wine - excellent!

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

The clear starry night sky was amazing - then we had a power cut and it was even better, absolutely stunning - no light pollution. We didn't want the lights back on! However a lone female traveller stuck in her room wasn't quite so enamoured with the experience. Her panicked call to reception brought two lovely chaps running to her rescue with commendable speed!

The best family holiday yet!

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

Excellent: a great resort with fantastic staff and fabulous facilities. The whole family got what they were looking for: my daughters had a great time at the Kids Club, my wife was able to soak up some sun and I got to learn to windsurf! Perfect for us - and we'll definitely be coming back to Sunsail!

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Take diving shoes (or even an old pair of shoes) with you - the shoreline is quite rocky and, if that doesn't get you, the sea urchins will!

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Visiting the local taverna an experiencing some local Greek food! Our daughters liked it so much we visited it twice during the holiday. Oh, and possibly winning the most improved windsurfers award during week 2!

Whether you're in to sailing or chilling, Sunsail Vounaki is about as perfect as it gets.

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

Sunsail Club Vounaki - 2 Years On It was well into twilight when we walked past the windows of the crammed-full departure lounge of Preveza airport. Though there were mutterings of discontent in our own ranks, the looks on the faces of the homeward-bound crowd suddenly made us realise that we were in fact the lucky ones and we were promptly clicked back into holiday mode. The delayed flight was a mere blip in the grand scheme of things. We know from experience that rarely does any holiday pass without some sort of a hitch, but luckily on this occasion the only one worth worrying about was the delay experienced at Gatwick as a result of a delayed and broken inbound aircraft. All credit to Thomson Airways though, they did arrange a replacement aircraft very quickly and ensured we were on our way post-haste. They made up loads of time during the flight, so the end result wasn't too disastrous after all. It's been a couple of years since we visited Sunsail's Vounaki Resort and after our brilliant first experience, the second was a long looked forward to event. Sunsail's welcome at the airport was second to none and no time was wasted getting everyone onto their respective coaches, en route to the resort, and guided to their rooms to settle in. All the staff, regardless of their discipline, were friendly, chatty, courteous and a real pleasure to be around. It's as though they're all part of a family. Vounaki works a cash-free system for the duration of the stay, where charge cards are issued to everyone on arrival. They are really convenient, as the cards are made from waterproof plastic, so can survive any dunking they may incur during goings-on or in the water. The downside relates to the nasty bite that can be inflicted by the checking-out bill on departure day. We were quite taken aback by the amount of drinks, snacks, ice creams and other such indulgences we'd managed to consume in such a short time. Quite frightening really! Judging by the looks on the faces of those who had several card-wielding children with them, a careful overview of the way they are used is more than a good idea if premature poverty is to be evaded. One good touch with the half-board arrangement is that on two of the days the inclusive meal is provided at lunchtime instead of evening so that time is freed up to visit the local village of Paleros, with its quaint and charming beach-front restaurants and bars. The local Greek meals are delightful, except perhaps for a 'Greek Pizza' which we ordered at one of the newer restaurants. We jokingly referred to it thereafter as the deep-fried omelette pizza. Not for the culinary faint-hearted! As we found on our previous visit, the range of different activities is truly impressive. Virtually every on-water activity, including dinghy sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, paddleboarding and ringo-riding is immediately available on the beach front. The beach staff are fantastic, pre-rigging every boat, helping those who need it for getting going or coming back in. On the quieter days, when the wind wasn't blowing as strongly as others, the whole bay becomes a social area with people chatting boat-to-boat while they await the next zephyr. One passing sailor exchanged pleasantries with us and asked how we were enjoying everything. He repeated our response, but added just at the end 'but I don't really have a clue what I'm supposed to be doing here!' However, his approach back to the beach seemed smooth enough, so the beach staff must have done a good job of his instruction. It's hard to put a finger to what is so special about Vounaki, but it certainly has something. Those used to some of the more cosmopolitan resorts may find it a little subdued, or even quiet. This should under no circumstances be construed as a negative though. The resort, though incredibly informal has an air of 'class' about it. Silly things like remarking about the fact that not one person seemed to have succumbed to the dreaded sunburn, no-one appeared to over-indulge and yet everyone was in wonderfully high spirits throughout is testament to the civility and, dare I say such a thing, 'niceness' of the place. Vounaki is a beautifully grown-up resort that's a pleasure to be part of from dawn to bedtime. Every child and teenager seemed to have beaming smiles the whole time, so something was right for them too. This was definitely the case for Henry, Giles and Charlie, as it was for Chloe, Felicity and Imogen. We didn't come across any Chardonnays, Princesses or Taylors to draw comparison. The rooms are large, airy and clean and now have the addition of flat-screen televisions with international news programmes available. There is also in-room internet access for those needing to keep in touch with home or work for a small charge. They are cleaned and serviced daily and standards are obviously very high because the room was left immaculately presented on our return each evening. Each has a fridge for keeping the bottled water and fresh fruit and cold and refreshing. The on-site store, situated down near the marina offers a good selection of fresh and convenience food, together with various beach and sailing accessories - though you can expect to pay a premium for some of the 'home comfort' branded products. Local produce was quite reasonably priced by comparison. Sunsail offer some of the best Kids Clubs we've ever seen on a holiday, and these are all included in the price apart from children 4 mths to 2 yrs, where an additional charge is payable. We couldn't help but smile when the daily procession of little ones, singing songs and marching to their next adventure passed each day. They really seemed to love it, and the very few who missed Mum a little too much were given extra special treatment. There are even special sailing clubs for the children, where organised use of special 'Taz' dinghies and paddleboards were available for the fully supervised sessions. Older children had a huge choice of activities both on and off the water. The groups are broken down into Minnows (4 mths - 2 yrs), Snappers (2 - 4 yrs), Sea Urchins (5 - 7 yrs), Gybers (8 - 12 yrs) and Beach Team (13 - 17 yrs). There was no way any child was going to be able to moan 'I'm bored' with everything that was going on. So many activities, so little time...... why oh why do holidays go so quickly?

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Because of an administrative error, there was no meal available for Sunsail guests on the plane over or the plane back.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Take one of those sunglasses thingamyjigs which go around your neck so you don't lose your sunglasses when you're sailing!

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Cocktails at Sunset in the top bar!

if you have children this is for you

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

i went with my husband and daughter to Vounaki in Greece for one week two years ago although the flight times from Manchester were not great with a little on in tow and the rooms not ready for a few hours after we arrived, when we did get to our room it was brilliant it was clean and sitting waiting for us in our room was a sunsail bag with tshirt and cap for the little snappers club for my daughter, though the next week was lazy and hot for me and my husband because there is not much to do on a buget, and they did not have any free samples of the activities during our stay my daughter loved this holiday she had her breakfast with us and off to snappers where they had a morning of activity then took them for dinner and then more activities to four then back to us for tea and bedtime routine at seven she was taken to the free babysitting to watch a film and sleep until ten (she was so tired every night after full days) when we picked her up after our eveing meal this was brilliant

Is there anything else you would like to share?

if you take a young child under two you have to pay for the club and the baby sitting not sure why

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

i didn't go on a yacht though i wish i had people were raving about them

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

take plenty of suncream for your children as they take it to the club with them and find out when you get there or before you go what is free and when and where can you do this

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

the little play and awards put on by the the snappers as my daughter (as well as every other child) got an award certificate my daughters was extreme snapper as she was fearless and tried everything form surfing to power boats and she was four at the time. the local staff the greek waitress were an absolute delight they were friendly and fantastic with children they made serviettes into boats and were brilliant

Fun for all the family

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

Excellent child care and sailing opportunities meant that the whole family had something to do. Dad off sailing, older children having a ball, youngest son in nursery and mum by the pool with a trashy novel. Bliss.

very well run and organised

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

Yachts were well equipped and seaworthy

Guaranteed relaxation and fun!

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

The perfect way to unwind - knowing that your children are having a ball, whilst you have the choice of relaxing by the pool or getting out on the water - and having your food cooked too!

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Childcare is second to none. We had 2 weeks in Vounaki, June 2010, it being our second holiday with under-5's at Sunsail. I can't recommend them too highly - all the nannies so kind and thoughtful. The children loved it. The only down side for us was the lack of mountain biking guide and gym instructor this season. Lots of opportunity wasted.... hopefully it will be rectified next time. Food plentiful and fantastically fresh - great barbies!

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Fantastic wake-boarding - but not great winds for those wanting exciting sailing/windsurfing.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Taking out a day boat with skipper, and seeing the kids jump off the back of the boat for a snorkel.... then cruising into local taverna for more fresh fish lunch. Bliss!

Friendly, encouraging staff, great atmosphere, fantastic food and great fun.

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

From the easy booking procedure to the flight and transfer to Vounaki everything was effeciently taken care of by helpful friendly staff. As a solo traveller I was a bit concerned but my fellow travellers were great, inviting me to sit with them for meals and drinks. The booked 2 day tuition to learn to sail a dinghy was mainly satisfactory, the weather was a bit unpredictable but the three day tuition on the 30 foot yacht was the best! Super skipper and crew, again a violent thunderstorm put paid to a half day sail and the main moan was not having a tumble dryer to dry our clothes, we had to sit in sopping clothes and hair for the land based lesson which was uncomfortable in the extreme. I cannot fault the catering, accommodation and staff. The cold water in the swimming pool was a real problem and as a result hardly anyone used the pools. The aqua exercise went ahead in the rain but the water was very cold. I would not book again so late in the year due to poor weather conditions which affected sailing time. The extra surcharges as a solo traveller also made this a very expensive week's holiday especially as I found that other people had paid considerable less than I had and so I felt it was not fair to expect a solo traveller who had booked far in advance to pay considerably more that a late booking solo traveller. This is why I have not rebooked - if this can be reviewed and better terms for solo travellers were offered I would reconsider as I loved the holiday.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

I would like to have the option of day cruises with a skipper, a "day off" from having to go in and out of the quay side etc and to see a bit more of the area from the water without having to go on a flotilla experience - difficult for a single traveller.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

Loved the larger yacht experience, would like to experience as above on an even larger yacht with more fellow travellers. Lunch on board or in a village etc.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Bring a waterproof in case the weather turns stormy.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Evening entertainment - Greek evening was great, the BBQ evening was very enjoyable. Would like more live music evenings.

Never a dull moment!

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

I've always been an independent traveller, and the thought of a package holiday where the sole activity is sunbathing leaves me wanting to run a mile. Sunsail was a refreshing alternative; the convenience of a package, but with a wide range of activities to try. My boyfriend and I spent a week at Vounaki. The accommodation was clean and spacious, the staff friendly knowledgable and helpful and the scenery beautiful. The best part of the holiday were the free activities; I had a go at dinghy sailing, kayaking and wind-surfing. Next time I'd definitely book a yacht course. On nights when dinner was not included, there was a range of restaurants in the nearby village. We went in the first week of the season so it wasn't that busy - presumable it would be more hectic in peak season.

A SAILING AND RELAXING HOLIDAY WHICH CATERS FOR OUR EVERY NEED

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

We have holidayed with Sunsail 7 times, and have enjoyed every one. We find the sailing excellent, the food and hygiene levels 5 star, and the activities cater for our every need. I particularly like Vounaki as it is within walking distance from the nearest village, and one can stroll in the evening to sample the Greek cuisine, and ambience.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

My only criticism this year, was I was, unfortunately ill upon arrival, and a Doctor was called out. I was diagnosed with gastrointeritus, possibly contracted on the plane journey. I did feel the Manageress could have shown a little more concern. Otherwise, I have thought for the past two years what an excellent job she has made of her position. I was dissappointed that the Pilates, and exercise sessions had ceased.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

My husband found, this year the drawing of lots for yachts was a little unfair. He in fact only sailed once on a day yacht. His comment was that the Management staff should have been more au fait with day to day organisation , and more liason was necessary.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Enjoy, relax and dont hesitate to complain to the Management who will do everything to make your stay comfortable.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

In 2009 we enjoyed sailing to Vasi and Nidri, so seeing other parts of Greece, in tranquil settings.

Beachclub combines great sailing with kids clubs in a super location

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

As a family with small children (2 and 4) we needed somewhere the kids would be happy. If they are happy then we are happy (and free to have as much fun on the water as we want).

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

There are some great places to eat in Paleros - super fresh fish and traditional tavernas. If you like going further afield (or the wind has dropped) - hire a car and visit Lefkas or further North of Previza are some great areas to visit.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Seeing the kids having fun on the water at such a young age.

It's knowing what to expect i.e. the best, and seeing people again both staff and other returning guests

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

We have had some problems on previous Sunsail trips e.g. food poisoning outbreak in Perili, but Sunsail staff and UK team always stepped in to resolve issues effectively and swiftly, even shipping out Operations Director (Harry) when problems escalated.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

My husband has always expressed how happy he is with the tennis coaching staff. The accomodation is also very good.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

Use day boats mainly. Haven't tried floitillas yet but intend to this year

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Use the village on the non-food inclusive nights, and also there's an old village restaurant up the hill on the right which is lovely.

The perfect holiday for a single mum and teenage daughter!

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

We've been on holiday twice with Sunsail in Club Vounaki - both for 2 weeks. I'd always been interested in learning to sail and never had the opportunity and the clubs for teenagers was the icing on the cake. We had a great time, both times. I learned to sail dinghies and did the flotilla training course both years. As a single mum doing courses was a great way to meet other people and my daughter made some great friends in the Beach Team.

Sunsail - another case of "it does what it says on the tin".

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

I'm not the sailor in the family, so the fact that I had a great time really means something. The boats are suitable for beginners and the gentle tuition for middle aged non sailors is superb. The team on the beach is fun, knowledgeable and helpful. My son has gone on Sunsail holidays from a young 'Gyber' to a 'Beachteam' member at various resorts. He's had great care when he was little and excellent tuition as he got older.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Having gone on Sunsail holidays for years, I have seen the excellent changes in both accommodation and meals at the various club locations. Your kitchens are more likely to serve local food, which is part of the fun of a holiday abroad and local food will be more suitable for the climate. That said, the afternoon tea and cakes is a good bit of English fun! You also manage to keep British tastes in mind when planning your menus.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

n/a

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

My advice to anyone planning a Sunsail holiday is look at the brochure in detail and decide how much wind and what types of boats you want. The information is quite accurate and your enjoyment will depend on it. An experienced sailor will not be happy with light winds and a limited choice of boats. Whereas a learner will not be able to cope with the higher winds of some of the clubs. Vounaki was far more suitable for me as a beginner than for my son who's both experienced and much braver than I am.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Lazily drifting/sailing on Sunday morning, feeling confident that I could cope with my own boat, aware of rights of way and how to share the beautiful clear waters with my fellow sailors.

Great Holiday....we love sunsail!

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

2 weeks in Vounaki-all land based in the resort. Good food, wine improved from last year but still too expensive. Lovely staff. Great childcare. Our rooms were fantastic. Last year we were in the 4th block and had a view of the road, this year we had an amazing 2 bedroom apt with fantastic views of the sea, next to the restaurant which was perfect.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Beach staff didn't seem as attentive as in the past. Unfortunately the price is so expensive in term-time for a family of 2 adults and 3 children we don't think we will be able to afford it in the future.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

Only did a day yacht. Expensive but good fun. Wanted to have a bigger boat that 2 families could share but one wasn't available.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Wind isn't fantastic. Get one of the front rooms with views of the sea. Book your beauty treatments/wake-boarding sessions/yacht early as spaces go.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Going out on a yacht for the day and swimming off the back of the boat. (Day 10) Watching the kids do their show on the last day (14)

A Friendly Club In An Unspoilt Corner of Greece With Fantastic Sailing

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

A lovely relaxing holiday with plenty of opportunity to participate in watersports or do absolutely nothing! Club Vounaki is situated in one of the most picturesque areas of Greece so taking out a day yacht provides the chance to sail around some beautiful islands that would otherwise be quite inaccessible. The accomodation, food and facilities within the club are excellent and the half board arrangements enable local tavernas in Paleros, approx 15 mins walk away to be sampled. In summary, an excellent holiday for all age groups.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

The chance to spend a day with fellow guests and explore the local area.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Visit the family owned Dionysus Restaurant in Paleros for fantastis fresh food and a table by the sea!

We had a great holiday

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

We had a great time. Loved the sailing. Not much to do outside the resort. Food was OK. Accomodation was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wind was very variable in May so ideal for training.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

We did the 3 day flotila training which was good but not enough to get us to a level where I felt we could safely go on a flotila. We chartered a boat and skipper for another 3 days which got us close but I still think we need a bit more time with an instructor. Use a different instructor as methods can be very different.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

being on it

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

If you do the flotila training and you are new to sailing, charter a boat and skipper for the remaining days.

The accommodation, domestic and sailing staff were all excellent however we didn't get the sailing experience we expected.

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

Very good service but the weather was not as good as we expected and as people new to sailing the conditions meant we didn't get as much sailing experience as we had hoped.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

In the early part of the season it is important that holidaymakes without wet suits have easy access to them.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

We had a very good choice of sailing dinghy.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

if it's early in the season be prepared for rain and storms.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

On the second from last day we went out in a Laser Bahia and had a good time but it was so chilly that we had to cut short the enjoyment. We were given an excellent, impromptu lesson in rigging a dinghy by a member of staff.

Fantastic holiday for all the family, been twice and would love to return again

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

Vounaki is a fantastic resort which caters for everyone from the experienced sailor to the baby looking to experience water. The kids club ensures that all children have the opportunity to experience everything (mine are 2 & 4) from feeding fish, to canoeing to powerboats. The resort has high quality food served in a location overlooking the sea, a great way to see the day in and out. Beach kit is always readily available and and all staff be that beach, bar or management ensure that you are enjoying your time.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

As an inexperienced nervous sailor, i throughly enjoyed the 2 day level 1 course and passed, the instructors are very patient and willing to help anyone of any level, now we can't wait to go back and try these skills.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Don't worry about a thing especially if you have children, the team are fantastic and will ensure that each child is treated as a special guest

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

If you ask my husband it would be sailing back on the jib only in a day yacht, for me it is being able to relax, splash and have fun with the whole family for the whole week - thanks to P and the team

My daughter loves the childrens clubs and always meets lovely friends. My son really enjoys sailing and so spends all his time on the beach. We were able to go off mountain biking on our own, as well as doing a bit of sailing - even managing to race together for the first time.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

For a Beach Club holiday, bring some quick drying surf shorts, a rash vest, sailing gloves and wet shoes is all you need for sailing. If you want to do land based fitness activities, bring your training gear - there is a great gym, plus tennis courts and moutain bikes to borrow.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Seeing my son helm an asymmetric dinghy in the race

All the fun of a family beach sailing holiday without the hard work and uncertain weather of DIY in the UK.

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

A wonderfully relaxing family holiday with friendly staff and other guests, excellent facilities, and plenty of opportunity to sail a range of boats and boards. Surrounded by mountains Vounaki is a stunning location, especially at night when the stars come out.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

The need to register the crew the day before stopped us spontaneously taking a yacht out for the day - so we didn't.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

A very good location for families and new sailors with lighter winds and a safe bay. Try as many boats as you can. Expect to put some weight on - the food is tempting and plentiful.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Pancakes and omlettes in the morning overlooking the bay. Seeing our son Scott aged 8 "go solo" for the first time in a taz. Through the week working our way along the dinghys lined up on the beach. Sailing the RS100 and not capsizing.

Club Vounaki is fantastic for children and for parents that don`t want to sit on a beach

we really enjoyed the week in club vounaki. The food was great and the full board food arrangements for the children worked out perfectly. The kids club - we used the minnows - was very profeesionally run and I felt very happy leaving my son in the staffs care.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

We will certainly be returning to club vounaki next year

Fun, relaxing, exhilarating and most importantly as active as you want it to be!

We had a fantastic time away. The food was great, the staff were friendly and very helpful. This was appreciated as my partner's suitcase arrived four days late! The sunsail team were supportive and happy to ring the airport for us regularly.

Definitely would return for another stay. Had a lovely time.

Superb! The whole experience was fantastic, staff, food, accommodation. I really can't fault it. second time there for us, and it won't be the last. Have recommended it to several friends.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

The childcare is second to none I've experienced. Well done to the beach team and all concerned.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

Clean and tidy, just no wind.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Pre book the day yachts. Try the nearby village, nice walk and nice new coffee shop on the beach. Hope it doesn't get too commercialised.

Day sailing to various Islands. Vathy.

Relaxing yet invigorating.

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

Generally very good but see my email regarding problem with day charter of yacht. Waited ages for a named skipper and when eventually went to see Beach manager she had got day wrong but not told us. Very poorly handled and till no reply to email! Missed the aqua aerobics, pilates etc and would have liked more to do in evening entertainment

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Very happy with the nursery which gave my daughter a complete break as my grand daughter was very keen to go and play.

A great experience

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

The staff are wonderful. They are hard working and like to mix with the guests. They enjoy working there. This is probably down to leadership of the manageress. They all speak very highly of her. The food and service is excellent. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. We had a sea facing room, and the views from the balcony were stunning. Vounaki is a beautiful resort. We were new to sailing, and the tuition was really good.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

We only sailed dinghies. There was a wide variety to choose from. We never had to wait for one.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Sailing for the first time.
